I have been in the construction industry since 1988. I have worked on everything from kitchen and bathroom remodels to complete tear down and rebuilds of many homes. I am a highly motivated hands on general contractor. I want to make the process as smooth as possible. I am in the El Dorado County; Placerville, Shingle Springs/Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills, down into Folsom and over through Granite Bay, Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln. Please call for a free Quote. I will always recommend getting more than one quote from a licensed contractor. Even if the price is higher or lower, you have to be able to connect with your contractor and be on the same page. So a meeting is always a great way to help make your decision.
Most importantly, make sure you hire a licensed contractor!
Unlicensed contractors may promise quick, cheap results but, they're not regulated by anything. When they feel they've gotten enough (money) out of the homeowner the may just walk away and you're left holding the bag.
Unlicensed contractors who finish a job often leave homeowners with a "tail light warranty" as soon as they drive away, the homeowner is stuck with whatever goes wrong and often the repairs cost more than what they would have paid had they selected a licensed contractor to do the job.
Licensed contractors follow strict CSLB regulations and their work, depending on the type, is under warranty for one to 10 years. Licensed contractors are also fully insured, a very important factor. If an unlicensed contractor or one of their subcontractors is injured on the job, The homeowner is 100 percent responsible for anything that happens. This can lead to expensive lawsuits.
A CSLB-issued license also ensures that families remain safe while work is done at the home. Licensed contractors, since 2005, are required by law to have their fingerprints run through the Department of Justice,
